Corded Polyester Lashing is available in 2 main variations.Corded Composite Lashing similar to Corded Composite Strapping is the latest technology in flexible, non-metallic lashing and most commonly used. Corded Composite lashings are available in a variety of widths and strengths up to 5,000 DaN (11,000 lbs). Composite lashings are widely used to secure cargo in export containers, trucks, railcars and ISO containers for various commodities including, but not limited to, chemicals, machinery, paper reels and food goods. Breaking strengths of all composite lashings are independently certified by Germanischer Lloyd’s and adhere to European Railway regulations. In addition, Cordstrap® CC-105 is approved by the American Association of Railroads for use in closed car load restraint applications. 

Corded Woven Polyester Lashing is increasingly used to secure cargo in excess of 100 metric tons. Manufactured from high tenacity polyester yarn, Corded woven lashing replace conventional load-restraint products like heavy duty steel strapping, wire rope, chains, ratchet straps and greatly reduces or eliminates the need for wood blocking and bracing. The webbing structure makes the lashing very flexible and easy to work with, even in confined spaces. Corded woven lashing is extremely safe to use, and the shock absorbance characteristics are superior to any other load securing materials. This shock absorbency feature keeps the lashing secure through the most rugged transit. Corded woven lashings are closed by specially developed hooks and buckle-hooks, and tensioned with a manually operated tool or pneumatic tools. They are often used in combination with friction enhancing anti slip mats for added security to ODC / project cargo. Corded woven lashings are accepted and approved by many shipping lines and marine insurance surveyors. They adhere to the regulations of the International Maritime Organization, the European Railways and other regulatory bodies.

Safety: CordStrapping is designed to protect your employees and customers from injuries while providing maximum load containment strength. There are no sharp edges when cut, and it does not spring back like steel banding. This quality offers protection for employees, customers, and machinery.

Load Strength: CordStrapping is as strong as steel with comparable break strengths to conventional steel banding. It is also five times lighter allowing for ease and flexibility of use.

Shock-Absorbency: Due to the memory and elongation recovery, corded poly strapping can absorb shocks much better than steel strapping, and it will not lose its tension if the load contracts or expands.

High Joint Efficiency: CordStrapping features a steel wire buckle, the strongest joint available which can be re-tensioned if required.

Retensionable/Reusable: The strap and buckle can be reused in various applications.

Protection: The soft and flexible texture of the polyester strapping protects the most sensitive products. It is safe on virtually all surfaces which minimizes waste and eliminates costly re-work. Corded polyester banding does not corrode, rust, or stain your products, and will not damage forklift tires.

Cost Effective: Corded polyester is a cost effective alternative to steel strapping. It eliminates the “hidden costs” of steel banding – such as damaged products, downtime, and workmen’s compensation, tooling and repair costs. The tools required are only a fraction of the cost and maintain a longer life.

Ideal for Small or Large Bundles: CordStrapping will not burst with dumped loads regardless of size.

Chemical Resistant: CordStrapping is chemical resistant. It will retain its integrity even with exposure to dilute acid and alkali.

Customized Strapping: PSIPL can print your company name, logo, phone number, and/or website on the strapping for marketing.

Easy Disposability: Due to the lightweight and flexibility of the environmentally-friendly strapping, disposal is hassle-free. It is a fraction of the size of steel and eliminates the need for strap choppers. It can be disposed of with regular industrial waste or recycled.
